A Control Panel is a web-based interface via which you can control numerous aspects of your world-wide web presence. As an illustration, you can set up or edit site files, set up and check e-mail messages, control databases, check visitor statistics and so forth. Those things are executed through buttons and menus inside a browser and the CP may also be called ‘back office’, i.e. the admin area associated with your hosting account. Most of the Control Panels out there will permit you to handle all hosting-related matters, but you'll usually need a different system to manage payments or to get a new domain when the company offers domain registrations. Based on the platform they use, you could be able to use the billing account to open a support ticket to ask a question or to troubleshoot an issue too, or you may need to use a third system.
